COLTO NEL MOMENTO 24

Professional Biography
About Me
I define myself as a visual storyteller who captures meaning in the quiet, overlooked moments of life. My work is designed to offer others a sense of comfort, light-hearted meaning, and a visual "home" to hold onto, no matter where life takes them. Recognizing that not everyone gets a good start in life, my mission is to use imagery to remind people of their inner resilience and childhood joy.
The Journey Behind the Lens
My path has been shaped by profound personal adversity. At age 14, a sudden illness shattered my school years, leading to a major hemicolectomy and a lifelong diagnosis of Crohn's disease. By 2017, my health had escalated into a grueling medical battlefield. That year concluded with the placement of a colostomy bag, which was later reversed in 2019, leaving me with a complex, open fistula tract measuring 3cm wide and 8cm long. Between 2016 and 2026, I endured a relentless cycle of at least 25 to 30 intensive operations. Waking up from these procedures meant grieving the loss of my old life, facing down overwhelming exhaustion, and fighting to construct an entirely new version of "normal."
Chronic illness and physical suffering force you down hidden roads that onlookers can never truly comprehend. Navigating this landscape meant fighting through severe psychological barriers and profound mental blocks. This internal struggle was heavily compounded by the medical environment itself; instead of finding sanctuary, navigating the rigid healthcare system often inflicted trauma on top of trauma. The complex behaviours, clinical attitudes, and a systemic lack of clear communication from doctors and nurses frequently turned a place of healing into an environment of deep distress.
Yet, this battle was never contained within hospital walls—it followed me everywhere. Out in the day-to-day world, I constantly found myself navigating entirely different environments where people were struggling with their own severe behavioural issues and mental health problems. All too often, individuals unthinkingly reflected and projected their own unresolved trauma onto someone already fighting a devastating illness, turning the outside world into an additional battleground I had to survive.
Through these years of immense hardship, I never gave up on myself. No matter how long it took, what I lost, or what I had to endure, I fought to translate that suffering into a meaningful purpose. Since my youth, photography and writing have always been my anchors—serving as my deepest forms of expression, survival, and healing. While I studied academic textbooks, attended training classes, and completed all sorts of coursework to earn my qualifications and gain the formal authority to guide others, the true essence of what I teach cannot be found in a classroom; it is rooted entirely in lived experience. Today, I use these artistic and therapeutic tools to help others dismantle their own barriers, navigate their hardships, and find their way back to who they have always been.

To deepen my understanding of the human spirit and refine my craft, I have paired rigorous photographic training with extensive diplomas in mental health, somatic healing, and physical wellness:

-
Psychological & Trauma Support: Fully certified with a Positive Psychology Diploma and a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Diploma.

A Note From Georgina
I hope you try to find the hope within yourself to believe in the beauty of the present moment, even when time seems to stand still and emotions run wild. Beneath all of life's misfortunes, the "whys," and the "what-ifs," I hope you find a way to be unapologetically yourself, regardless of what could have been. Find a way to tell your story, no matter how small or simple it may seem. Let that little light shine out of you.
Thank you for taking the time out of your life to visit my creative space. Even if my style or products do not match yours, I hope they inspire you in some small way. Life is a journey for all of us, and who knows where it will take us. Always find a way to indulge in the things you love—you never know how beautifully they may turn out.
I wish you all a deeply meaningful journey. Believe in yourself, remember all the little lessons in between, and above all, remain kind.
May your day or night have a little joy.
